We woke and the Master claimed that he had been sent two servants from Mystra to aid and protect him. Sure that’s what they were but it really mattered not to me as all I really was really thinking about was selection of vegetable I would use for my baby stew with dumplings recipe. At which point to Celestial Hounds appeared and called out the Master of Death that he was to pay for crimes against Tyr.
If one were to ever wonder why being good was not all it’s cracked up to be then what happened next should stand as eternal proof of the idiocy of good. Now of course the beautiful Dark Hounds of the Master manifested and unleashed their power upon the Celestial Hounds of Tyr. I of course during this whole exchange had been withdrawing or this was obviously a matter the Master and his Servants to deal with. Alas the Hounds of Tyr had other plans for they began to howl which nearly blew out my ears but I was able to stand my ground and continue to withdraw.
Alas it was to no avail for if it were not for the Masters Hounds we might very well have all perished and I was an inch away from losing consciousness myself before the Dark Servants finally took the dogs down. After the stunning effects of the hounds wore off I barely had the strength to reach for a potion from my potion belt of and drink it before I would have fell to the ground helpless and perhaps bleed to death from my ears. The Master of Death had saved me from death yet again I now owed him two debts that would need to be repaid before we might one day square up and be even. I would forgive him his constant insults as one debt paid which would leave him with one in reserve.
I would have seen to Niam but I notice that Invelous was instead seeing to him and actually even protecting him a trait that really I found odd but I knew Caspian would admire. So the day passed and we made our way back to Waterdeep and arrive in the late afternoon and parted ways with Invelous and Niam as stating he would take Niam to the Tyr temple while the Master returned to the Mystra Temple with Falcon while the others returned to the Safe Haven Inn in the South Ward with the exception of Arrol.
I was finally free of that evil bastard Donavan and did I need a drink and a woman for that matter. I spoke with my associates at the Inn and soon the female Moon Elf Bard Hollyella Taletreader arrived and let me just mention you I get what you pay for and I was not disappointed. Don’t get me wrong a typical companion for the night ran a silver piece but for a woman of class quality, breeding and training you are talking ten gold pieces. Shall we just say with the brisk to my sanity and life and having to deal with who I believed were to become my new companions I needed to relaxation that only a woman like Hollyella could provide.
